PRIDE 1981 IN AFRICA
Unveiling of Glenmorangie Pride 1981
CAPE TOWN, 1 Nov. 2011 - We have just experienced and tasted the official South African unveiling of Glenmorangie’s most exquisite creation to date, Pride 1981, in the Library of the Cape Grace Hotel.
An extremely limited edition single malt whisky, Pride 1981 is aged for 28 years and packaged in a specially commissioned crystal decanter and wood case.
Valued at R30 000 and with only 1 000 pieces created, this was a unique opportunity beyond comparison.

Tasting Notes:
- Captivating and heady with the combination of poached pears, baked pineapple sponge, demerara sugar, nutmeg and aniseed.
- The layers of delicious desserts are joined by honeydew melon and lemon vanilla madeleines with oak tannins bringing hints of French toast.
- Long, succulent and sweet with sultanas, toasted almonds and the lingering memory of lemon and coconut desserts.
- 56.7% ABV
